Designer Emanuel Ungaro Is Dead At 86


The son of Italian immigrants, Ungaro was born in Aix-en-Provence in southern France in 1933 and was acknowledged for his use of lively colour and blended prints. Along with Yves Saint Laurent, he served popularize completely ready-to-have on clothing. Even though developing for the property of Ungaro, he dressed various superstars, together with former Initial Girl Jacqueline Kennedy, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jennifer Lopez, and Gena Rowlands. In a modernist shift, he famously set Twiggy and Penelope Tree, two of the most important models of the ’60s, into metal Ungaro masks to be photographed for Vogue by Richard Avedon in 1968.
